Associated Smelters Private Limited was established in the year 1980 by Mr. J. B. Tipnis, a chemical engineer from I.I.T. Bombay, with a vast experience in chemical and metallurgical field. Various different kinds of products and chemicals have been developed and manufactured by the Company over the past 35-40 years. The Company, with its base at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, has been in the forefront of calcination and roasting of minerals, chemicals and ores.

The main activity of Associated Smelters Pvt. Ltd., presently, is manufacture of Chrome Oxide Green and Calcined Mica, as well as minor quantities of Red Oxide Primer (Iron Oxide base) and Black paint. Another product which the Company has developed is High Purity Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate with purity equivalent to IP / BP / Food grade. The Company is also involved in trading of Manganese Dioxide ore (both, powder and granules) sourced from Goa. In addition, the Company also accepts job work / contract manufacturing of calcining work to re-activate carbon catalyst.

Through its sister concern, M/s Vaibhav Enterprises, trading activities of various chemicals and equipment is carried out. Consultancy in metallurgical and chemical projects is also offered. This involves chiefly complete set-up of project for various chemicals manufacture as well as smelting and refining of metals from their scrap and/or ores. Other than that, quality control and testing of metal impurities through qualitative analysis is also performed.
